Anyone had this problem...When I drag tracks into my DAW from BIAB the key gets changed. Seems to be off a semi-tone. I set the key before I drag into cakewalk using the alt-shift-6 shortcut. I also set the tempo.

hmm i might be wrong but make sure your tempo in cake matches bb. eg if tempo in bb 120 set cake to 120.
if still a prob save cake project and re open. all good now ?
all i can think of.
i recommend you set cake and bb and your interface to 44.1/16.

Check the sample rate settings of the two programs. Band-in-a-Box likes 44.1KHz while (I think) Cakewalk likes 48KHz.

thanks Jim....I will be aware of that in the future. I uninstalled Cakewalk and re-installed it and it seems to be working properly. I might have stumbled over your suggestion by accident, but it seems to be OK, Definitely good to know about the sample rates. Thanks

Do you have acidize turned on? That drove me nuts when I exported tracks into my DAW. The key was way off until I realized what was happening.

Scorpion, once you check this, if it turns out to be what Jim suggested, may I make a suggestion? You could consider changing the post topic from Key Change to something like Unexpected Pitch Shift. I say this because others run into this problem on occasion and your post would more likely come up in a search. You can also Mark As Resolved by going back to your first post.
And if it is instead Herb's idea about Acidized files, do something similar. This helps others who have the same problem after you.
