We won't know what it really is till we get our hands on it. It sure looks like it does some of BIAB's lifting.
As both a BIAB and Logic User I already find the Logic Drummer to be helpful in my arrangements. I mostly use it to add percussion (conga, timbale, etc) to the project. I have not replaced the BIAB drummer in too many project but have used Logic Drummer to Midi - to Superior Drummer. That worked well in a couple projects. The future Will be interestng.
Also, AAPL's delivery of Logic to the tablet is pretty convincing evidence you won't be tied to a desktop computer in the future..... unless. you want to be.
Logic Pro takes music-making to the next level with new AI features Session Players, Stem Splitter, and ChromaGlow make Logic Pro for iPad and Mac smarter than ever
Where's PG with iPad Biab ????? Maybe I didn't mention JUCE, maybe that is the problem, otherwise they would have a Win,Lin,Mac, iOS and Android already:
JUCE is a cross platform framework allowing a single codebase to compile to native applications and plug-ins with the same user experience on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, across both desktop and mobile. Native applications can be launched in the iOS and Android device simulators to simplify testing and debugging, and can be packaged up for distribution within the mobile app stores.
I own and use both PC & Mac. I use Studio One Pro on both machines and I have the latest copy of Logic Pro. There is some requirements to use the new Stem Splitter and ChromaGlow. The M series silicone chip was introduced in 2020 so any Mac before that will not be able to use these features. I believe it is also recommended for some other features but not required. I am excited to see the new Bass, Piano and new version of the drummer. Lots of Apple folks were very worried this update was going to come out with a subscription model but thankfully this did not happen.
BIAB 2024 Ultrapack- Studio One Pro 6.5 Windows 10
The main point of all this is not getting PG users to buy Logic on an iPad but look at the potential of the JUCE Plugin, If apple have done this will not other companies follow with similar now, where will this leave PG ? "Create and edit chord progressions in the Chord Track while your Session Players follow along."
"More energy needs to be put into the JUCE BBPlugin/Plugin Standalone/Live Arranger giving Win/Lin/Mac/iOS/Android: The writing is on the wall." How much would you spend on a new iPad with Biab Live Arranger compared to a RealTracks Live Arranger keyboard ? I can't see how there is a sustainable future with 6 months programing on Win then another 6 months programing on Mac doing the same thing. I'll ask again, do you think double programing is a good thing, will it last 10-20 years down the track ?

It can't be fixed because they are working on the Mac for last 5 months so there is no one to program BBW4 that it needs before anything can be done with the JUCE Plugin. It's all wrong how it all works, or doesn't work. That's why I say "the writing is on the wall".
As my initial post attempts to convey, a major Daw manufacturer will soon deliver some very biab like capabilities. Coming soon… or not. Your choice.
If Logic does it then other DAWs will do it. Toontrack does it now but with individual MIDI products but if they combine them into one product, add things like strings, horns, etc and audio then there will be a lot of competition for BiaB.
I just posted a selfie and all of the responses were get well soon!

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
